The Wheels on the Bus

When we used to holiday on the coast I always thought the little buses were so cute – like the old American style school buses – so when we recently became a one car family and I started catching the bus I was a little excited… but alas, I’ve only ever been on the big ones. No cute, nostalgic bus rides for me.

My route to work is a fairly simple one… just a short walk to the stop by the beach, jump on the bus and we’re off. Then at the other end, just a 15 minute walk or so and I’m there. Nice bit of exercise built into my day, not to mention the entertainment of my fellow transporters.

Doggy Goes In, Doggy Goes Out

We recently decided to get a doggy door for our furry friend, Spud. He is fourteen and a half years old and has never had a doggy door, but he is not so good at waiting for long periods between toilet stops so we thought we’d give it a try. With the whole ‘you can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ phrase we were wondering if the new feature would get used… what a funny adventure it’s been.
